Abstract
The article deals with military letters and preserved notes of D. B. Kabalevsky’s (1904–1987) diary during his trip to the front. The working manuscript of the Requiem score, the unfinished oratorio "Letter to the XXX century" based on the poems of R. Rozhdestvensky and the suite "National Avengers" based on the words of E. Dolmatovsky are under consideration.
